There are currently 17 qualified Knife Fighitng Trainers in South Africa. These trainers come from a wide range of combative backgrounds including law enforcement, military and martial arts. Along with their knife figitng skills, many are specialists in their own right that bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practices. Becoming a Knife Fighting Trainer does not ensure a lifetime status or qualification as a Trainer.

Our methodology is constantly evolving and Trainers are required to refresh and stay current with our practices to be listed on this website. Regardless of any other certification, if the person providing you with instruction is not listed on the website he or she does not represent our views or have permission to share practices under the Knife Fighiting South Africa banner.

TRAINERS are not full instructors, they are coaches with varied levels of technical knowledge. Knife Fighting is taught primarily through seminars. Training groups form when a person or group decide they want to continue practicing between seminars, and we encourage practice, so the Training Group program is designed to support them. The TRAINER organizes the place and time, and gets practice going. The level of practice and corresponding instruction varies accordingly with their experience in Knife Fighting and related experience as indicated on their profile.

Some Trainers are new and learning the ropes, some are lifelong fighters with extensive combat experience, and most are somewhere in between.

INSTRUCTORS have a high level of skill and experience, and teach seminars in the areas in which they excel. No one person teaches the whole of Knife fighting South Africa, it is too comprehensive.
